Situated in the heart of Herne Hill, 10 minutes walk from brixton station, our little corner of brixton water lane isn't your usual local, we have rotating chefs taking over the kitchen every few weeks and there are rather incredible
Currently cooking is Marta Sandini, with pastry queen Taylor Sessegnon-Shakespeare
Marta’s passion has taken her to China, Australia, Slovenia and luckily for all of us, landed in London! She became the head Cheffe of our late The Other Naughty Piglet, and after doing pop ups all over London, she has come back home for a seven weeks residency, with a menu that will blow your minds
She is the master of ferments, zero-waste and creativity.
Expect a combination of Italian and Chinese flavours, from Marta’s time in Shandong to her memories of nonna Bertilla cooking.
